Graduating from Brunel University with a Degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences, I began teaching back in 2009.
Throughout my career as a teacher, I have always integrated Learning Technologies into as many lessons as possible; in an attempt to further engage the students, boost their grades and develop their digital skills. This was recognised in 2014 winning an internal award for my innovation in the classroom.
I then went on to undertake a Learning Technologies Lead post for a major FE College in the South East of England. This role involved helping teachers (500+) to make the most out of Learning Technologies, whilst still spending time with students (5,000+), helping them to develop their Digital Literacy. The role covered everything from large group face to face delivery, to online 1:1 support.
In my current role, Head of Learning and Development, I manage a team of Learning & Development staff and oversee the Professional Development of all staff (both Pedagogical and Digital), as well as delivering training to develop staff Digital competency. I am currently supporting a large number of staff to gain their Microsoft Innovative Educator and Apple Teacher awards.
